An aircraft ferrying Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the jet's front window, according to an official announcement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.

"The aircraft landed based on established safety measures and all passengers, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer commented in a social media post.

The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital at the time.

This occurrence isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a senior official has encountered mechanical issues.

Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was forced to head back to Washington after experiencing a mechanical fault.
